Registration Prep: Tips and Tricks

Image result for online classes

Hi Everyone,

As Fall registration approaches this midterm season, things can get a bit hectic. Whether you’re cramming for multiple exams in one day or you’re just not getting enough sleep, I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL. It’s a stressful time. With that being said, it is important to stay organized and set yourself up for success the following semester. Here is my advice to prep for registration:

  1. CHECK YOUR REGISTRATION ASSIGNMENT TIME: The first step in preparing is knowing when you are available to begin! After successfully logging on to MyFIT, under Online Information System, select Registration to see your status. See step-by-step instructions here.
  2. REVIEW YOUR DARS + SEE ACADEMIC ADVISEMENT:
Run your degree audit (DARS) to see what classes you need to take the following semester and make an appointment with the Academic Advisement Center to meet 1-on-1 with an advisor, located in the Feldman Center, room C402. Click here to make an appointment with an academic advisor.
  3. SEARCH FOR CLASSES:
Make a mock schedule and go to Class Search from MyFIT for the most up-to-date offerings and important course information.  Clicking on a course title in Class Search will pop up useful information like schedules, restrictions, prerequisites, co-requisites, and other details.

Good luck with the rest of midterms and the kick-off to Fall registration!
