Impending Finals Doom

While it may only be Thanksgiving Eve as I am writing this, finals week(s) approaches quicker than it seems.  With only 3 weeks remaining, the idea of finals and studying can seem especially daunting amongst all of the holiday cheer and excitement.  There can be a lot of pressure to experience New York around this time because it is such a magical place.  I think it is especially important to create memories outside of school but also not slack on homework and hard work, specifically towards the end of the semester.  I highly recommend getting ahead on your work.  While this may seem easier said than done, it is important that you enjoy life’s moments in general, but also enjoy them totally stress free!

If you are reading this prior to November 28th, you’re in the clear!  If you’re reading this after November 28th, you’re not doomed either.  But my biggest advice is to take this upcoming weekend and really kick the homework mode into high gear.  Yes, you are most likely surrounded by family and friends for the holiday, but even if you have an hour or two to crank out some homework, DO IT!  With the Christmas Tree Lighting on December 2nd and the holiday markets and gift season in high gear starting December 1st, buckle down before the winter bug bites you!  Even if you can finish ONE class’ coursework, you’ll feel so much better going into the final weeks.  Since we don’t technically have an exam finals week, classes fluctuate in their last days.  Even if you begin to make notecards for the exam you have in 3 weeks, you’ll feel so much more accomplished than if you waited until the last minute.  You’ll be itching to go home and celebrate the holidays before you know it.  Every little bit helps!  Progress is progress!
