Many of you who are stumbling across the blog probably just got accepted to FIT! First off, congratulations! It is an incredible honor to be accepted into one of the most renowned fashion schools in the world! You should be very proud of yourself and of the hard work and time that you put into getting accepted. Reflecting back on when I was admitted 3 years ago in 2013, I was a completely different person. Coming to FIT will transform you for the better. Your professors and classmates will push you to create your best work. You are in a city full of people who are giving their all in order to succeed, and that will only make you work harder. FIT is a school where the assignments that you are given are relevant to the industry. You’ll go on fieldtrips to museums, galleries, and top businesses in the field. You are going to a school that has the opportunity to be hands on because New York City is truly our campus. Your assignments will allow you to explore the city and learn valuable information that you couldn’t get first hand anywhere else. That is why I chose FIT.
