NYC Food Events

You can forget about the Christmas Tree lighting at Rockefeller and the grand Rockettes performances, because when New York begins to have outdoor food events, it truly is the most wonderful time of the year.  Nothing beats sitting outside on a warm day and indulging in a gourmet ice cream cone or a fresh burger all while enjoying it with friends.  New York hosts some of the best daily and weekly food events around and I’m here to tell you some of my favorites!

  • Smorgasburg: Taking place in Williamsburg on Saturday’s and Prospect Park on Sunday’s, this holy grail food event takes the cake.  From the ramen burger to the brand new Wowfulls waffle ice cream creations, you have to cross Smorgasburg off your food bucket list.  Last week was the opening weekend of the season, so feel free to head out there the next chance you get!  (http://www.smorgasburg.com/)
  • Madison Square Eats: Taking place in FIT’s backyard at Madison Square Park, UrbanSpace created this daily food vendor masterpiece.  They are opening April 30th and it runs until May 27th from 11 AM – 9 PM.  You can enjoy the beauty of the Flatiron Building, the park, and foods from Ice & Vice, Roberta’s, MeltKraft and more! • Broadway Bites: Disappointed that Madison Square Eats only lasts a month?  Well it’s a good thing that Broadway Bites opens shortly after on June 3rd and runs until July 17th.  Since it is hosted by UrbanSpace, you can expect to see similar vendors at Madison Square Eats, but certain vendors are only available at Broadway Bites like Wafles & Dinges, Doughnuttery, and The Gumbo Bros.  (http://urbanspacenyc.com/broadway-bites/)
  • UrbanSpace Vanderbilt: This PERMANENT food vendor location hosts restaurants like Liquiteria, Ovenly, Takumi Taco, DOUGH and more!  They are open weekdays from 6:30 AM – 9 PM and weekends from 9 AM – 5 PM.  (http://urbanspacenyc.com/urbanspace-vanderbilt)

Hope you enjoy all the deliciousness that NYC has to offer!
