Hey everyone! We’re super excited to announce that our new exhibit, Social Responsibilities of Museums: Part 2, is officially open! It’s up on the 4th floor stairwell at the Gladys Marcus Library at FIT.
For this project, we got to chat one-on-one with museum pros from places including MoMA, The Met, and the Museum at FIT. We talked about everything from accessibility and ethics to diversity and museum history—and those convos went way deeper than we expected. They really opened our eyes to how museums are thinking about their roles today.
This is a follow-up to Part 1, where we looked at how museums show their values through exhibitions. This time, it’s all about the people behind the scenes and what they’re doing to push things forward. We turned those interviews into a space for dialogue and reflection, and now it’s all on display! The exhibit’s up through August 24th, definitely come by and check it out!
