Living in New York City comes with spontaneous adventures and the unexpected. This past weekend, I would have never thought I would be attending the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards. Coming from a small city in California, attending an event known as the epitome of pop culture and music satisfied my inner city boy mentality.
It all started when I landed the tickets at the MTV VMA pop-up shop in SoHo where a well known YouTuber posted the address and asked his fans to meet him there for a special surprise. My instincts told me they were going to be VMA tickets…. and wa-la!

Singing and dancing along with some of my favorite artists was an amazing experience to share with some close friends! Living in New York City can be intense, but it is the moments like this that make you appreciate the spontaneity of this city.
…and yes, BEYONCE WAS AMAZING!
