Supporting FIT Students

With the semester in high gear as we finish up the last couple of weeks, there are many exhibitions, displays, and events taking place across many of the art and design majors.  Being a junior photography major, I am a part of the BFA Photo Exhibit titled, “Lines of Sight.”  The show displays some of our work from the semester.  The opening reception is on Wednesday, November 18th from 6-8 pm in the lobby of the Feldman Center.  The work is up until December 11th.  Our entire semester as photography students have revolved around this show so any support is greatly appreciated!  More information is below!

If you are reading this as a prospective student, I highly recommend coming to see student work.  It is a great source of inspiration as well as a chance to see what you could be creating and doing as a student at FIT!  Supporting other students as a student is incredibly important.  We are all trying to make it in this industry and as cheesy as it sounds, we can’t always be comparing ourselves to the next person or be in constant competition with one another.  At the end of the day, a fellow student could be hiring you for a job or you could be hiring someone else.  There are so many different lines of work within each major and you never know where you’ll end up.  So with that, be kind, support one another, and focus on your goals.
