Fun for Fall

Related imageHi all!

With the crisp weather *hopefully* in full effect, there are plenty of fun things to do in NYC for the changing season. Here are my recommendations for fun in fall:

  1. Attend one of Brooklyn Grange Rooftop Farm‘s many rooftop events. It’s the world’s largest green roof farm! They have tons of cool happenings, like rooftop yoga classes and garden workshops, until the end of October. The schedule is here.
  2. Take the ferry to Governor’s Island. When you see the lower Manhattan skyline from the island on a fresh autumn day, you can’t help but smile — the view is dope. Bring your bike on the ferry for an extra $1, or rent one when you get there from Blazing Saddles. It’s a very bike-friendly island.
  3. Take a long stroll through the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Their fall foliage kills it.
  4. Hit up one of the city’s many farmer’s markets to buy all of the best apple varieties: Empire, Winesap, Northern Spy, Macoun, and more. Here’s a list of all of the farmer’s markets in NYC.
  5. Stock up on cozy fall clothes at No Relation Vintage in the East Village. They have a sea of $5.00 flannels!
