14 Things I Learned in 4 months at FIT

FINALS WEEK! Wow, I can’t believe this semester flew by so quickly! It’s crazy to think that 4 months ago I was in California waiting until the day I arrived here in New York. Living in the city can be hectic, but it also can make you into a stronger person that you will be proud to be. Here are 14 things I learned in 4 months at FIT!

  1. FIRE ALARMS are your worst enemy… enough said.

  2. There is no greater feeling than finishing a paper after an all-nighter, even though you spent half the night on Twitter.
  3. Those stupid things that used to bother you? Yeah, they don’t matter anymore.
  4. Never trust a professor when they say “don’t worry, this chapter won’t be on the test.
  5. Thursdays are the new Fridays
  6. The only thing you’re certain about in life is that group projects were designed by the devil.
  7. If you want a relationship with someone, you have to work for it.
  8. How to time doing your laundry so you can do it at the last possible minute without having to wear any dirty clothes.
  9. How to get the maximum amount of work done on the least amount of sleep.
  10. Finding events where you will get free food.
  11. How to talk to a professor outside of the classroom.
  12. How to call your family when you just need someone to talk to.
  13. How to handle an interview.
  14. There is nothing scarier than realizing that you’re an adult.
