Instructor Spotlight: Jeanne Levinson

Jeanne Levinson graduated from U Mass., Dartmouth, B.S. in Textile Design and Fashion. She has worked as Freelance Textile Designer in Home Furnishings
from 1980 to 2004.  Her clients throughout the years included: Schumacher, Waverly and Brunschwig & Fils. Prof. Levinson taught at FIT as an adjunct professor in Textile/Surface/Fabric Styling Dept. since 2003 and at the Art Institute NYC since 2004.
She has exhibited watercolors, pencil drawings, and collages.

HFS 182 Develop an Eye for Styling

Teaching Philosophy:

When I teach I expect my students to show up and try; to look at an assignment as an idea that will be expressed with paper, photos and fabrics. How can you do that? What are you trying to say? I encourage them to approach it in a variety of ways.
