Ever wonder where the patterns on products come from? Textile surface designers create designs and patterns on all types of surfaces, from wallpaper to fabric to dinnerware. In Textile/Surface Design courses, you’ll explore a career as a designer, colorist, stylist, studio director, or freelance entrepreneur. Today, we are happy to showcase one of these offerings: HTS 155 Creative T-Shirt Design Using Basic Screen Print and Embellishment Techniques. Here is the course description:
HTS 155 Creative T-Shirt Design Using Basic Screen Print and Embellishment Techniques
Create your own T-Shirt designs using techniques that can be duplicated in a home-studio environment. Processes include screen print, mixing colors, paper and tape cut-out stencils, discharge, dip-dye and transfers. This hands-on course also addresses the use of embellishments and t-shirt manipulation. Students will be able to replicate most techniques at home without the purchase of expensive equipment!
Believe it or not, we even still have a few seats available in the course! This class is open to Summer Live high school students. For information on Summer Live or to register visit this page.

nice picture. looks like you all had a great time together.
Haha awesome! I love doing t-shirt designs – I started a club when I was in high school and designed a shirt that we used. It was so fun, ah…the good old days.
What a fun picture! Making T-shirts is an awesome way to have fun, AND, when people wear your designs, they are basically walking billboards for your cause or business! (That’ll be $15, please)
