It’s finally here! The mornings where the birds chirp, the sun shines, and most importantly, school’s out! Spring Break is the most exciting time of the school year. A week and a half off of vanished stressful studying for exams and loads of homework is a decent escape. It’s the time to venture away and do things you’ve always wanted to. Myself, I will be very productive working on my portfolio. As I said in previous blogs, styling is a passion. Convientely, I have a friend who’s interested in photography. Together we make the best tag-team and create satisfactory work. The models we will be using are our friends. I chose five people, both males and females, who I thought had potential. Out of the five shoots we planned, we’re only shooting two during this time.

I’m super excited to be doing this! Both of the shoots will be located in NYC, around 5th Avenue and Central Park. One of the shoot’s theme is ‘Shopaholic,’ so I will be collecting high-end store’s shopping bags as props for the shoot. My inspiration towards this theme was Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl. Blair loves to shop, especially at Bendels.

The shoot will be taken on 57th Street in front of Chanel and varies of other stores. As well as the ‘Modern Hepburn’ shoot that will be shot in front of Tiffany’s & Co on 57th Street and 5th Avenue. This shoot is an imitation of Holly Golightly, Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s, but with a twist of modernism. Of course when you think of Audrey, it’s inevitable that a little black dress comes to mind except, the dress will be a maxi. Exposure of toned arms and hidden collar bones will be the infamous styling of the top of the dress with a long drape to the floor.

After month’s of planning and organizing to the perfection, I’m ready! All that’s left is a few prep days, a fitting day with the models, and SHOOT DAY! Wish me luck. I will show you guys my work on one of my upcoming blocks!
