How do you “Find the number of data values”?
ANSWER: You are being asked to tell me how many data values there are in the set. This is referred to as the COUNT.
For example, Find the number of data values in the following:
4, 5, 6, 7
There are FOUR // 4 data values.
Also, Google Spreadsheets does this for you when you highlight all the values. In the bottom right of the spreadsheet it will give you some information about what you highlighted. You can see how many by looking at the COUNT answer without having to do anything else! So convenient.
Notice that the default was the sum (not what we want in this case). You can see that the number of values would be 52 as that is the count.
