Why can't I do extra credit?
Answer: You are actually given many opportunities throughout the course to boost your grade. I drop your two lowest quiz grades! (So I take your best 5 out of 7.) I allow students to re-submit assignments throughout the course to raise their grades! For both of these there is no additional material required to be learned. In MA222, the spreadsheet/data collection assignments are there to raise your grade. These assignments are designed to not take long and again, I let you re-submit the spreadsheets. In MA161, the data collection assignments and the project are the big grade boosters (besides for the quiz dropping). On every in-person exam, you are given extra credit problems and partial credit (when applicable).
