Farewell Readers – See You In Fall!

Good evening readers:

Last Sunday was in fact my last class at my FIT class. It was a day full of emotions: sad and angry, because the program was over for me and I wasn’t able to class on the official last day. I also felt accomplishment and satisfaction, because I’ve learned so much over the past eleven weeks. I grew and excelled in skills I just discovered. I found out what are my faults too. I learned to think outside the box and relate it into a setup. Another lesson I learned was to listen more in depth to other people’s opinions. I will admit that I am a perfectionist. If situations stray off the plan, I get a little agitated. This is a trait I dislike about myself. At my FIT class, I learned to just be myself and take more consideration of what my group mates suggest and say. My absolute favorite lesson we had was in fact the lecture of Karl Lagerfeld and the Chanel industry. Chanel is couture, artsy, beautiful, stunning, classic, and is definitely my favorite designer label. Everything about its clothes, accessories, perfume, jewelry, and etc., just captivates me in an inspiring way. Lectures, debates, and discussions about the designer and brand just took a huge interest in me.

Now I bet you’re wondering why I am not going to class this Sunday. I am going to Florida to my mother’s boyfriend’s house. I know this may be TMI (too much information), but I think it’s necessary to inform my readers about the real me. This trip was a surprise from my mother’s boyfriend and I am very upset by that fact that I am going to miss my last class at FIT! My mini vacation is going to consist of editing pictures from previous shoots, watching classic movies (Roman Holiday is next on my list) finish the current book I’m reading (Gossip Girl prequel: It Had To Be You) and start another book (The Great Gatsby- this will be my second time reading it,) and the inevitable – homework.

FIT has brought knowledge, new aspects of styling, and memories that will always stick with me. I am hoping to take another class at FIT next fall. Fashion Styling looks like it could be an option. Hopefully, I will receive an expectancy letter to attend FIT college, a dream of mine as long as I can remember. Wherever life takes me though, my passion for fashion will never pass away.

xoxo,
Michella
