I can’t believe it, but the FIT Precollege semester is almost over! I feel like I’ve come a long way in these 11 weeks, when I was first struggling to cut my muslin. As I am writing this, we have yet to begin our final project in our class, which will be either a princess bodice or a cowl-neck shirt. Right now I’m finishing my first bodice, and I can tell how much I’ve learned this semester: I know a plethora of terms and techniques, and I feel like my natural touch for draping has also been strengthened. I don’t want my classes to be over in just two weeks! They’re one of the most fun parts of my weekend. I can’t wait to continue on with my final projects, then take all my FIT knowledge home to create some new summer pieces for myself (and friends). I don’t have any pictures of my projects this week, so here’s a little photo inspiration for you.
