The Key to Managing My Time is a Scheuled Routine

Hi everyone! Has everyone been enjoying the wonderful NYC weather? I can finally start bringing out the floral dresses and light pink slips as spring is slowly but surely making its transition to nice and warm weather!

This week has been pretty hectic with getting back to school and whatnot, but I find time management key to juggling everything from maintaining my blog, to FIT work, to the workload I get at the specialized highschool I go to (which is A LOT).

My daily schedule during the school week starts at 6.30 when I leave to take catch the subway to school. I am there until 7 working on the school musical. When I get home, I get started on as much homework as possible, and tend to take a break to do something more relaxing- such as sewing or blogging! A lot of homework I save for the subway- but I feel that staying organized and having a routine scheduled is the best way to get everything done. I feel that the better prepared you are in high school, the more likely you will be able to handle to workload at college!

On the Weekends, I attend FIT and with left over time I hang out with friends, shop for clothing or new fabric, and sort of take a break from my hectic school schedule. Even though time management is a very good skill to have- I can’t wait for summer and not having to worry about what day of the week it is!

Speaking of FIT,  I am almost done with my jean jacket! I just have to sew on the buttons and the patches and it will be good to go. I’ll be posting pictures as soon as it’s done. Until then, I’ll leave you with some great film pictures my close friend, Leila Francomb Mccabe, took of me when we went to Williamsburg, Brooklyn over the break; they turned out fantastic! (Side note: I sewed the cheetah print shorts in the picture thanks to what I learned at FIT!)

Wearing in picture: Blue Cross necklace- 99cent store; Pink slip worn as shirt-thrifted; Shorts-handmade; Shoes- Beacons Closet, Blazer-cobrasnake.com

Talk to you next Week!
xoxo,

Martina
