Describe your personal style? My style can change from modern one day to boho the next.

Where do you go on your breaks from class? I like to walk around the city and go people watching. I love to see what everyone’s personal style is.

What is your favorite thing about FIT?
I love that there are so many diverse people here. Everyone has a unique personality and is so nice here.

Who or what inspires you?
I get inspiration from various people. I look at blogs to see what styles are in. I also like to look at what all the celebrities are wearing, especially Vanessa Hudgens.

What do you want to do after you graduate from College?: I would love to be a buyer or a stylist one day.

Introducing Precollege Blogger: Mikey

Mikey_PrecollegeBlogger_SMSo no matter how difficult this may be it’s definitely one of the more exciting things I’ve had to write about so far.

I guess I should start out simple, Hi there! I guess as you may already know from the title, my name’s Mikey. Although it’s the basics I guess I should mention it all. Ok, so I’m a senior in high school, I’m like super tall, I absolutely love fashion, and I’m one of the spring interns in the Precollege program here at FIT. I guess, you could say that fashion is one of the major key points in my life. I absolutely love personal style and fashion photography.

My goal is to be kinda like Rachel Zoe and Grace Coddington, they’re definitely my role models. I would totally love to be a world-renowned stylist or a fashion maven. I love seeing all sides of the world of fashion, so like for example I’ve styled people, assisted a designer with photography and set design for the launch of her new children’s line. During my free time I do some basic fashion photography (ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!) and I do have some knowledge of design. All that’s left to experience would be writing and modeling, there are other things but I really wanna  just focus on the key points.

So I guess I should move on from that, I absolutely love FIT. It’s definitely one of the schools that I, one hundred percent, want to study in. I actually want to major in Fashion Merchandising, that way I can start my career as a stylist. While working on my career I also want to study Fashion Design, that way I’ll have the business side and the art side under my wing.

So I guess that’s all for now, sorry I’m not the best writer and I don’t really know how to talk about myself, but YEAH! thanks for reading. It’d be cool to hear a little about each of you if you wanna post a comment, maybe we’ll see each other on campus. Hope you have a fantastic day! Bye loves

Congratulations Emily!
