Can you talk a little more about variability?
ANSWER: Yes! I just made a video and here is a quick explanation.
Variability is another word for the spread, or dispersion if you want to sound fancier.

Okay so I had someone ask me about variability
Variability is an English word
It is also a math term obviously
But variability in English is the opposite of constant
Constant means there is no change. Everything is the same. So if you have variability – more variability, the more change, the more spread something is.
There are a couple different ways to measure variability…
If you are given a dotplot that is the fastest way to see if something has variability. I just made an extra, little mini-mini lecture (yes at 4 in the morning, anyway)
So here we have pizza place 1 with no variability so everything is the same; it’s constant.
So pizza place 2 there is variability; there is a difference.
That’s really the gist of variability but I’m trying to explain it more in this mini-lecture.
I also made a MINI- mini-lecture on it here.
There is also another course FAQ post if you search “variability” in the search bar.
