Isabel Rubio has been with FIT Continuing Ed for 8+ years. Her courses include The Great Designers, Film & Media & Costume Designer Start up. Her academic credits include Syracuse University’s KING STAG, Columbia University PEER GYNT director Andrei Serban, as well as others, & Mount Holyoke College.
Theatre Teaching Artist.
Theatre includes: 4 Years of touring Mr Rogers DANIEL TIGER’S NEIGHBORHOOD LIVE; Scholastic Books CLIFFORD THE BIG RED DOG LIVE; TICK TICK BOOM director Gabriel Barre. Foreign credits include Designing for Mariinsky Ballet: BEAUTY IN MOTION: DIANA VISHNEVA & Bolshoi Ballet KINGS OF THE DANCE; Films: Mexican Ariel Nominated NOMADAS with Lucy Liu. Television: LAW & ORDER; LATE NIGHT WITH DAVID LETTERMAN, and MADAM SECRETARY.
Currently starting work on The Bloomsbury Encyclopedia of Film and Television Costume Design, edited by Deborah Nadoolman Landis.
Honors: Juried exhibitor Prague Scenofest Quadrennial / USA National Exhibit 2007 and Recipient of Virginia Museum’s Costume Design Fellowship.
