Instructor Spotlight: Alicia Goodwin

Alicia Goodwin is a part time instructor specializing in computer aided design with a focus on costume jewelry. She teaches several courses through F.I.T.’s Center for Continuing and Professional Studies, most notably Technical Design for Costume Jewelry, which explores creating easy to distinguish jewelry designs for production purposes.

She acquired her A.A.S. in both Fashion Design and Jewelry Design at F.I.T., SUNY and also holds a B.A. in Creative Writing with a minor in Cultural Anthropology from Hunter College, CUNY.

Alicia is a full time metalsmith, creating her work under the line Lingua Nigra, which is carried in museum shops and galleries throughout the United States. She continues to consult for jewelry companies, creating technical packs for production.
