Before Amy Shumer<\/a>, Tina Fey<\/a>,\u00a0 or Margaret Cho<\/a>, before Bust<\/a><\/em>, and “Sex and the City”<\/a>, there was Helen Gurley Brown, who was single and loved it.\u00a0 She wasn’t the only reason that single womanhood switched from meaning “pitied” to meaning “fabulous”, but she sure helped the cause along.\u00a0 Cosmopolitan<\/em> <\/a>was her mouthpiece for this campaign.\u00a0 The library has a complete run from 1980, and a few random issues from the 1970s.<\/p>\n
