Maker Minds: Circuit tape brightens cardmaking

Hey, come up to the library’s new maker space on the 6th floor! Next week we have a workshop you might like.

Come make cards for Mom! Or your hometown honey! Come fiddle with new tech while also folding paper and having a fun crafts break from classes!

Here is a great Pinterest board with ideas to get you thinking ahead of time:

As you may (or may not) know, the 6th floor of the library isn’t the periodicals area anymore. It’s now a big workspace with light boxes, slate tables, tables for working in groups, and lots of computers.

Just to show you the space, here are some of the pics from our last Maker Minds event: On Halloween (October 31), the library tech team set up a great photography “set” for students and FIT workers to come and get their photos taken. The library photographer, Alessandro Casagli, took pictures all afternoon. Here are some of the best ones!

A wonderfully spooky group of students:

And some wild and scaly FIT library pepes

Come up and see us next Friday!
