Magazine of the Week

Welcome back, everyone!

This week’s title is one of the Conde Nast/Vogue collection, Vogue Pelle (“pelle” is Italian for leather). The leather goods it covers include shoes, handbags and purses, belts, and gloves, and a little bit of eyewear.

The Italians have been known for production of leather goods for centuries, so it is not suprising that a Vogue edition highlighting leather was produced in Italy. Our holdings of Vogue Pelle begin with 1981 issues and end with 2010, when it ceased publication. It was published 4x/year, and included hundreds of terrific photographs of beautiful accessories, styled in color by the world’s leading photographers.

Even though the title is no longer current, the images in it are so rich that it’s worth taking a look for accessories ideas. The editorial pages cover the big runway shows, highlighting the accessories of each season. The photographic layouts are sumptuous. Articles present high-end producers of the past and present, and ads are mostly European and luxury market.
