G<\/strong>uess who got a\u00a0discount\u00a0on her “Frap” at Starbucks today? Me!! According to an email I received from FIT yesterday, from 12:30 to 1:30 it was “Home-Town T-shirt Day” which meant if you wore a t-shirt from your home town, you could get a discount on\u00a0Starbucks\u00a0coffee. All I had to do was go to the FIT location\u00a0and Walahh, cheaper\u00a0Starbucks. And anyone who\u00a0receives\u00a0a low income “allowance” knows that SB\u00a0coffee\u00a0is not cheap… but it’s so<\/em> good! Oddly enough, I felt like I’d\u00a0accomplished\u00a0something big walking down the street with my reasonably cheaper frap.<\/p>\n

A<\/strong>nyways, today was a productive day, in my \u00a0HAD 149:\u00a0Advertising and Graphics Design Portfolio<\/a>\u00a0class I got a chance to whip out my\u00a0newly\u00a0bought art supplies. In other words, I felt very\u00a0professional in a artsy kind of way. Firstly, we sketched out a picture of a girl in our class in a rather uncanny position to warm up our hands. Then we started testing our gradient skills with our grey<\/span> Prismacolor markers to prepare for an upcoming project! From far away the gradient looked great… when you get within arms reach of it… um, not so much. I guess its safe to say that distance transforms art!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

P<\/strong>rior to lunch time, our class\u00a0briefly\u00a0visited the FIT Museum. As we toured around, I noticed the\u00a0wonderful\u00a0detail in all the gowns, suits and\u00a0ensembles.\u00a0Unfortunately, we\u00a0weren’t\u00a0aloud to capture any pictures inside the Museum because of\u00a0multiple\u00a0reasons, but by all means check it out! The\u00a0pieces\u00a0were wonderful<\/em>. From Prada to those Christian Louboutin\u00a0shoes that I\u00a0desperately\u00a0wanted to steal out of their unbreakable glass case — the museum was one of a kind. <\/em><\/strong>It consisted of far\u00a0older designs to more modern designs. FIT had it all!<\/p>\n
