When at the FIT program, you&#8217;re given a break that ranges from 15 to 30 minutes. During this break, you can do anything, like grab a snack, eat a meal, buy a couple of things, hey, you can even venture for new\u00a0possibilities! But, I suggest\u00a0staying\u00a0in a close rage to the campus (you must have time to get back on campus, or you&#8217;ll miss class, which is a no-no).<\/p>\n<p>Since NYC is so compact and there&#8217;s\u00a0virtually a store within a 10 feet range- there&#8217;s so many options available to you! \u00a0\u00a0Everyone has their own tastes and preferences, but I&#8217;m here to show you my routine when I&#8217;m on my break to give you some ideas.<\/p>\n<p>I always exit out of D building onto 27th street. On the left side you&#8217;ll see a variety of\u00a0restaurants\u00a0and stores! But my absolute favorite has to be the Lily Farm Deli!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a onclick=\"javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('\/downloads\/precollegeprograms\/files\/2012\/04\/fit-.jpg');\"  href=\"http:\/\/blog.fitnyc.edu\/precollegeprograms\/files\/2012\/04\/fit-.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-5341 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.fitnyc.edu\/precollegeprograms\/files\/2012\/04\/fit-.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">The number one thing I&#8217;ll always buy at Lily Farm&#8217;s is Snapea Crisps! It&#8217;s healthy, absolutely\u00a0delicious, and\u00a0affordable!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Other places that I like going to on break are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Rosa&#8217;s Pizza ,168 W 27th St .At 7th Ave. (left of Lily Farm)<\/li>\n<li>Papa Johns, 213 W. 28th St\u00a0(pizza is good for the soul)<\/li>\n<li>Fashion Design Bookstore, 250 West 27th Street \u00a0of course!)<\/li>\n<li>Revolution Books,\u00a0146 West 26th Street<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Of course there&#8217;s many other places you can go too, but these are the ones that I find very comfortable. Time passes quickly in the City and with that being said, you should always keep time in your hands. \u00a0You don&#8217;t want to miss class!<\/p>\n<p>Since after class I don&#8217;t really have a designated departure time to catch the bus (since it comes every five minutes), I \u00a0walk around the city to discover new things and take time for myself! I enjoy walking for a long periods of time. If I could, I would walk all the way to Central Park! I always venture off deep into the city.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some places that interest me when I&#8217;m in NYC:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Buffalo Exchange,\u00a0114 West 26th Street<\/li>\n<li>H mart,\u00a025 West 32nd Street<\/li>\n<li>Tokyo Rebel,\u00a0170\u00a0Avenue B<\/li>\n<li>Kinokuniya Bookstore,\u00a01073 6th Avenue<\/li>\n<li>Bleecker Bobs,\u00a0118 West 3rd Street<\/li>\n<li>My Plastic Heart,\u00a0210 Forsyth Street<\/li>\n<li>The Museum of Modern Art,\u00a011 West 53 Street<\/li>\n<li>ONASSIS,\u00a071 Greene Street<\/li>\n<li>Any store on\u00a0Broadway<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The City is filled with such wonderful things. It would take years to discover half of what&#8217;s there!
