In Case You Missed It: Open House 2012!

Let the day begin! I registered for Open House in the Feldman building, where I was given a schedule, and a bag filled with FIT knick-knacks.
Prospective business majors, united! The Jay and Patty Baker School of Business and Technology’s presentation in the Great Hall.
While waiting for the presentations to start, I met Riana and her mom, who happen to be the two biggest sweethearts EVER. They traveled all the way from a small town outside Philadelphia to attend Open House.
After the introduction the all 10 business majors in the Great Hall, we were free to check out more personal presentations for our intended majors. So, of course, I ran to see the AMC presentation!
The AMC presentation was held by Professor Balestrino, who is the chairperson of the department. He was extremely humble and honest when answering our questions, and didn’t try to sugar coat anything. This man was a real riot, though! He kept cracking jokes on his resemblance to the Gorton’s Fishstick fisherman.
After learning more about our majors of choice, we were able to depart on our own again. We were given the options to sign up for campus tours, go to the FIT club fair, or sit-in on a student board where we were able to ask questions about life at FIT.
Dolly, Tiffany, and Jocelyn waiting for their campus tour! The tours were run entirely by FIT students. They take their tour groups through dorm rooms, labs, classrooms, and other FIT facilities.
Two student tour guides relaxing after a long long long day!

If you didn’t have a chance to visit FIT for open house and still want to get a feel of the campus, you can schedule a personal tour with an FIT Student Tour Guide HERE.

If you are totally incapable of getting to New York, no worries! You can take the Virtual Tour  HERE, which is just as good!
