The last day of fashion week has reared its ugly head, and sadly the festivities are going over seas. But it was fun while it lasted, especially for me. I started the week as 16 year old blogger who planned on just taking photos of the elite fashion crowd outside of shows. However I ended the weekend leaving a show at Lincoln Center.
Saturday I attended the Rachel Antonff Fall 2012 presentation at a small Chelsea studio. The collection got my attention in a big way; a crown that was fit for a queen (me) was the ultimate icing on the cake. Not to mention the many layers that made this cake perfection, the extensive beading and playful prints, were just a few of the standout details.
Sunday I attended the Lela Rose show at Lincoln Center, snagging a seat and even a photo of famous celeb stylist Brad Goreski-who sat front row. Lela Rose is known for her feminine silhouettes and her whimsical pieces that make women feel pretty! She did not disappoint! Her collection exceeded all the anticipated hype that the fashion community had for her. I was so happy that my first NYFW show was for a designer with such a high caliber.
After the show I snapped even more street-style photos before heading to Soho with some friends. A little window shopping and a lot of eating, I ended my journey at New York Penn Station. The weekend was exhausting but well worth! I learned so much and got an experience that is forever engraved in my memory.
