ARTSpeak Lecturer: Oliver Herring

Artist Oliver Herring, speaks on his work on Monday, March 23rd from 1:30 – 2:30 pm, in the Katie Murphy Amphitheatre, in FIT’s Pomerantz Center, entrance on the corner of 27th Street and 7th Avenue.

This event is open to the FIT community and public.

ARTSpeak 2014-2015, presented by the departments of Fine Arts and History of Art, includes a series of events on the theme of Outside Traditions.

Oliver Herring work has been exhibited extensively in the U.S. and abroad.

ARTSpeak Studio Visit: Ghada Amer

On November 12, 2013, the artist Ghada Amer generously opened up her studio in Upper Manhatan to FIT Fine Arts students and faculty. She spoke about her artwork, her process, her life, and their interconnectivity.

Ghada Amer is an internationally renowned artist of Egyptian descent, who now lives in New York City. Her work is represented by Cheim and Read gallery.
