“It was winter in New York as the\u00a0snow began to fall…” –Ragtime\u00a0<\/em>(Pardon my inner theatre geek)<\/p>\n

Winter in New York City is just as incredible as everyone says it is. \u00a0While yes, it is absolutely freezing, it is incredibly beautiful. \u00a0There are certain things that you have to do whether or not you believe in being a “tourist” in the city.
\nHere are my top 6 essentials\/todo list in the city to survive the winter:<\/p>\n

  1. Wear good boots! \u00a0You don’t want your feet to be cold or wet from the slush and snow on the streets. \u00a0Don’t leave the dorms or your apartment thinking “Oh, I’ll be fine” because you will be miserable within the first 10 minutes.<\/li>\n
  2. Get a warm coat. \u00a0Just like #1, you need to stay warm. \u00a0I highly recommend a coat that goes past your waist to keep more of your body warm.<\/li>\n
  3. Accessories are a requirement. \u00a0Break out all your beanies, gloves, scarves, and fuzzy socks because the time is now. \u00a0Comfy and cute is a fashion statement, people!<\/li>\n
  4. Go see the Rockefeller Christmas Tree! \u00a0It really is nothing like you’ve ever seen before. Anyone who follows you on Instagram will immediately envy the legendary and beautiful tree that is right before your eyes.<\/li>\n
  5. Go ice skating! \u00a0Bryant Park and Rockefeller Center have fantastic rinks. \u00a0The holidays and wintertime will really hit you when you’re on the ice and it’s a beautiful, beautiful thing.<\/li>\n
  6. Central Park in the wintertime. \u00a0Do I need to say more?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
