Hello everyone! It feels like It has been forever (unfortunately it has been) but I have some pretty amazing things that have happened within the last month that I think you all will enjoy!<\/p>\n

I was invited by Vogue to attend the screening of the documentary film Franca: Chaos and Creation<\/em><\/strong>. The screening was held at the Metrograph Theatre in Chinatown on October 13th, and was filled with fashion industry icons from Anna Wintour and Diane von Furstenberg to Naomi Campbell and Vera Wang. I’m not talking about nosebleed views at concerts people; I can’t even recall how many times I literally bumped into Anna Wintour since the venue was so packed – talk about networking.\"chaosandcreation\"<\/a>\"naomicamp\"<\/a>\u00a0If you are unfamiliar with Franca Sozzani, she is an Italian fashion journalist and has reigned as the editor-in-chief of Vogue Italia<\/em> since 1988.\u00a0Born on January 20th, 1950 in Mantua; a small city in Northern Italy, Franca from an early age rejected the idealistic, bourgeois lifestyle that was the norm for young women.\u00a0Franca Sozzani is editor-in-chief of Vogue Italia<\/em>, a position she has held for 25 years, like her American counterpart Anna Wintour <\/span>at Vogue<\/em>, who was hired in the same month. Additionally, Sozzani has acted as editorial director of Cond\u00e9 Nast Italia since 1994. During her tenure at the magazine, Sozzani\u00a0has not shied away from controversy, commissioning and helming issues on fashion\u2019s weight debate, plastic surgery and her landmark all-black issue.<\/p>\n

I would have never thought a documentary on an fashion editor would make me teary-eyed, but it indeed did. The film is through the lense of her only son, Francesco, who documents his mother’s life to the present.
