My Dream Program: CFM

CFM

My absolute passion has always been beauty. When it came to looking into colleges my senior year, I knew FIT was a major contender because of the Cosmetics and Fragrance Marketing program – the only one of its kind in the country.

I chose Advertising and Marketing Communications to focus on in my associates because I wanted a foundation in marketing before branching off into any other specific study. As I am about to graduate in May, I am proud to say I will be Embarking on my long-awaited journey into the CFM program for my bachelor’s degree.

Besides my undeniable passion for cosmetics and fragrance, I love that this industry is pretty much recession proof; looking and feeling good will never go out of style. It’s no shocker the beauty business is a multibillion-dollar—and growing—global industry.

In the CFM program, you learn both the product development and marketing aspect of creating and marketing products that women, and increasingly men, want to buy. There is a strong sense of hands-on experience in The Annette Green Fragrance Foundation Studio, which is the only fragrance lab on a U.S. college campus. There is also important beauty marketing techniques and strategies in the classroom. With a focus on international economics, strategic marketing, visual presentation, and communications management, the program will prepare students for internships and future careers in this field.

I am so excited to be able to evaluate fragrances, create cosmetic products and learn about beauty packaging design for marketing strategies.
