There is a new app on the horizon that will help you to stop smacking into things while you text and walk. My first reaction was the usual – stop texting and walking – Duh.  But, with the world and our lives beginning to sync more with mobile devices, especially smart phones, the reality is that more accidents are bound to happen while we multi-task.

A system has been developed called CrashAlert that incorporates a depth-sensing camera to increase the scope of vision and will alert you when you are about to collide with  an object.  The hope is to continue to develop the technology to integrate with a smart phone.

Now if someone could just develop an app to keep me from tripping over my own two feet, I would be a very happy girl.  :)
