Windows XP users be warned that Microsoft will no longer provide support for the 2001 operating system after April 8th, 2014.  After this point, security updates and fixes will no longer be pushed out. More information can be found on this TechCrunch post.

Microsoft is suggesting those still using the XP OS should upgrade to Windows 7 or 8.  Here on campus, FIT classroom and lab computers are updated with Windows 7. Staff and faculty office computers are almost complete in the upgrade from XP to Windows 7.

If you have any questions about your operating system, please contact Customer Service at 7-TECH (212-217-8324) if you are a faculty or staff member.  Students should contact 7-HELP (212-217-4357).
