Precollege Course: HSX 084: Designing a Fashion Mini-Collection  

Describe your personal style: My personal style is very fun and slightly androgynous. I always love to mix in statement pieces with simple colors underneath. If I’m not wearing a statement piece, then I am wearing all black, because it makes me feel professional and powerful.  

Where do you go on your breaks from class?
On breaks I love to take in the Chelsea vibe, walking around or eating at the local restaurants. On days when I don’t have class, I can be seen shopping around the city.

What is your favorite thing about FIT? My favorite thing is the freedom of expression that FIT cultivates and encourages. This environment is extremely conducive to my creative self.

Who or what inspires you? My mom is my biggest inspiration. As a business woman, her attitude and powerful aura combine with her grace, stature, and humor to influence my personality and my desires.

What do you want to do after you graduate from college? After I graduate, I would love to pursue fashion design for older women in business.

Describe your personal style: Street style with a mix of old school.

Where do you go on your breaks from class?
I like to go outside and sit in the courtyard or walk around and explore the area around the campus.

What is your favorite thing about FIT?
I like the creative atmosphere, inspiration, and the fashion!

Who or what inspires you?
Rihanna would have to be my #1 fashion inspiration. Everything she wears is unique and very creative.

What do you want to do after you graduate from college?
I would like to start on my fashion career and do a little modeling.

Describe your personal style: To describe my style, I would say it is glamorous, a little elegant, but also flashy and loud.

Where do you go on your breaks from class?

I normally walk around the halls and look at the art on the walls.

What is your favorite thing about FIT?

I like the environment of FIT the most, because it inspires me to be more creative.

Who or what inspires you?

Making a woman feel confident, elegant, and sexy is what inspires me to pursue fashion.

What do you want to do after you graduate from college?

I would like to be a creative director of a big brand, some I have in mind are Valentino, Balmain, Dior, and Oscar de la Renta.

Describe your personal style:

My personal style differs over time but I’ve always loved NYC fashion. I also love the European aesthetic so I go back and forth and combine. 

Where do you go on your breaks from class? 

I usually grab a coffee or snack with friends during the break.

What is your favorite thing about FIT? 

My favorite thing is the experience I gain and the new information I learn everyday. I love my classmates.

Who or what inspires you? 

Alexander McQueen, Tom Ford, and Alexander Wang inspire me. FIT also does.

What do you want to do after you graduate from college?

I want to pursue modeling, become a creative director of a fashion brand and then build my own brand.

Describe your personal style: My personal style is very classy and chic and I like to change up my style every now and then to try new things and open my mind to all kinds of fashion.

Where do you go on your breaks from class?

I love trying new cafes on my breaks because there is no better food than city food.

What is your favorite thing about FIT?

My favorite aspect of being a part of the Precollege Program is the environment and the students. I love seeing everyone’s own unique style and taste.

Who or what inspires you?

My love for the city inspires me. Coming to the city for these classes at FIT inspires me to try my hardest to get where I want to be.

What do you want to do after you graduate from college?

I would love to do interior design after college.
