Hot Glue Guns Are Actually Hot!

To be young and go to New York City might be the best feeling in the world.  Week two and the classroom has begun to feel all too familiar and the burns I suffer from the hot glue gun have begun to fester from my left hand to my right. However the resulting outcome of the hot glue burns have worked out in my favor, putting the finishing touches moments before my presentation I completed the style board I mentioned I was working on earlier.  Using materials I’ve never dared to experiment with,I put the X-Acto knife and cutting board to the test making rookie mistakes at the beginning but later completing a pretty decent representation of Alexa Chung’s style.

If you’d read my first post about my project you may have noticed I changed my celebrity to a more distinguished and well known figure in the public eye.  Shala Monroque, who is a great style icon, did not fit all the characteristics of the stylish celebrity our boards were suppose to represent.  But my last minute change worked out for the best. Going with a Japanese baby doll themed board, I showed a soft bubbly side of Alexa that many people mistake as just another girl next door look, however in my board I went further than the perceptual image, researching information and style trends Chung favors.  With a background image drawn by my friend Kiyomi, I presented my board with a bit of corny twisted confidence, as I successfully showcased my first style board.
