VISITOR ACCESS

Access to Special Collections and the College Archives is by appointment only.  To schedule a viewing appointment, please fill out the form below or email us at [email protected].

Our current appointment availabilities are listed in the right hand column of the main page.

We want you to get the most out of your time with us, so please allow us to share some helpful information before your visit.

Appointments are for three hour increments, and you are allowed to view up to three linear feet of material per visit.  Please bring a photo ID with you to your appointment.

Before your visit, please provide us with the titles and call numbers if the items you would like to see. You may limit your search of the Gladys Marcus Library’s online catalog StyleCat to just the holdings of Special Collections by clicking on the Advanced Search tab.  Once there you will be given the option to Limit Search To; the Special Collections option is at the bottom of this scroll down menu.

Your requested items will be ready and waiting for you upon your arrival.  Because researchers must be supervised at all times while in the Reading Room, your proctor is not able to pull additional materials during your allotted appointment time.

While working with your materials, you may use a laptop, camera, pencil and paper materials only.  All bags, backpacks, coats and other personal belongings must be stored in one of our lockers reserved expressly for that purpose.

We strongly encourage researchers to use a camera for any necessary documentation of their research. Photocopies and scans are not available during your research appointment. Not only does this save trees, we find photographing your materials assists in relocating them at a later date, should you need to do so.

We hope to see you soon!
