FOUR ALUMNI FIND THEIR WAY TO FASHION WEEK THROUGH THE WEB

Hue is embarrassed to admit that it thought Polyvore was a person with an adventurous palate and a prodigious appetite.

Turns out it’s a website where 13 million fashion-lovers go every month to pour out (and pore over) their creative juices, clipping hot threads from all over the web and combining them to make complete looks. Pricewise, it beats buying all that clothing at retail. More to the point, who has the closet space?

On Monday, February 13, Polyvore, with a little pecuniary assistance from Covergirl, put on what might be the first fashion show ever created by a website. And what do you know, all four designers were recent FIT grads: Vengsarkar Budhu, Fashion Design ’06, Lauren Bagliore, Fashion Merchandising Management ’05, Dana-Maxx Pomerantz, Fashion Design ’05, and Sergio Guadarrama, Fashion Design ’07.

The models were 23 fashion bloggers, who, to be honest, looked just like models, sepulchral glowering and all. Hue wonders how you get to look like that by sitting in front of a computer all day. Is it Fiber One bars?

Check out these gorgeous outfits from the show. Hue is kvelling over its own.
