Best Sky Blue Clouds

THE COLOR CORNER

In Taos and Santa Fe, NM, one can spot the best blue skies everyday. One can see where Georgia O’Keeffe painted her piece called “Sky Above the Clouds 1V, in 1965, now at the Art Institute of Chicago. When I see these clouds, they remind me of indigo dyed fabrics and puffs of cotton candy and popcorn. Cirrus, Altocumulus, Cumulus and Stratocumulus are some of the beautiful formations that you can see each day. You can read about these formations and others at http://vortex.plymouth.edu/clouds.html/. Many NY designers have used these indigo and sky blue colors in their Spring 2012 collections.
