Spring is the time where we come out from underneath the cozy covers that we have been hiding under for the winter and breath in the first breath of warm, sweet air. I am just now waking up after hibernating through the dreary, wet and cold winter.  I have a back log of photos on my computer from these last few months of travels, field trips, trade shows and experiences that I will try to share over the next few weeks.

 But when last we left off, I had a little time on my hands to take a day trip to the lovely city of Torino.

 
It was an inspirational pleasure to speak with Ms. Clizia Ornato at WHITE:Milano.  The exceptional designer displayed two collections at her jewelery booth. The "Lo Voglio" collection
was a gorgeous model of traditional Italian artistry marrying elegant silver filigree to delicate, hand made lace.
The craftsmanship put into each piece is astonishingly beautiful.

Using fun textiles, trendy and practical design, the mother/daughter team of Tu.Tino, Federica Lazza and Nicoletta Della Gatta, were a hit at WHITE:Milano.  This summery collection was made by
hand with the care and passion of these two designers.  The energetic and heartening duo
attracted all kinds of attention taking the time to speak to each and every person
about their effervescent collection.  It was so nice to meet them and I cannot wait to see the talent and fun of Tu.Tino come to New York!
