I am a 20-year-old native New Yorker who enjoys yoga, fashion, the color pink, and chocolate! I plan to immerse myself in the different cultures that surround me, travel as much as I can, and enjoy the beautiful countries and all they have to offer. I hope to share my experiences and wonderful adventures with you! Vivere, ridere e l’amore!
Ciao, my name is Enya. I am a first year Fashion Design major, partaking in the study abroad program in Florence, Italy. Growing up with a mother who is artistic herself, nurtured my creativity and exposed me to various forms of art at an early age: attending Broadway performances and the ballet at Lincoln Center; roaming the spiral building at the Guggenheim and climbing the grand steps at the MET, captivated by the paintings from artists such as Degas and Van Gogh; exploring ancient artifacts and animal bones on display come to life at the Museum of Natural History. Being from a multi-racial background, having a nomadic upbringing, and traveling immensely visiting numerous countries on 5 continents I’ve learned to move like a chameleon, study new surroundings, cultures, and languages and blend in—not masking my identity but embracing those that surround me. I consider the world to be home, the world to be my oyster and the reason I am the pearl you see today. I hope to not only learn from the experiences awaiting me in Florence but to be inspired. Follow my journey as I share my perspective.
Ciao! My name is Kaylee and I’ll be studying Fashion Merchandising Management
in Florence during my junior year. I grew up in Warwick, New York, a small town filled with acres of apple orchards, picturesque farms, and an artsy local culture. While in New York City, I do my best to explore and take in the beauty of the hustle and bustle that I love, while
writing and reading whenever possible. I’ll also be writing a column for W27 this year about my time abroad!
I love to travel and plan to do as much of it as I can before beginning a full-time career. In January, I studied for three weeks in Panama and loved every moment of it. In June, I visited Chicago for the first time. Now I’m continuing my year of new places by moving to Florence. I know it will be one of the most exhilarating experiences of my life and I can’t wait to share it with you!
