Brad Kahlhamer works with a range of media, from sculpture and painting to performance and music, to explore what he refers to as the “third place”—a meeting point of two opposing personal histories. He was the recipient of a Joan Mitchell Foundation grant in 2006 and his work is in the Museum of Modern Art. Born in Tucson, Kahlhamer lives in New York City. More info. at his website.

Lauren Luloff is a Brooklyn-based artist known for her elegant syntheses of painting and assemblage that bring together a diverse range of influences and materials. She received her MFA in painting from Bard College and has exhibited at Marlborough Chelsea in New York, among many other galleries. More info. at her website.

Amber Hawk Swanson is a video and performance artist living and working in New York City. Her work explores issues of gender and sexuality at the shifting boundaries between the animate and inanimate. She received her MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and her work has recently been exhibited at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, Denny Gallery in New York City, and Momenta Art in Brooklyn. More info. at her website.
