FIT in Japan: Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Tokyo

Konnichiwa from Japan! FIT’s Office of Alumni Relations is thrilled to be in Tokyo with FIT President Dr. Joyce Brown and Museum at FIT Director Dr. Valerie Steele to celebrate the college’s global connections and to show our support for Japan’s fashion industry! While we celebrate Japan Fashion Week, we also pay our respects to the people of Japan on the one year anniversary of the the tragic tsunami, earthquake, and nuclear events. This is a historic trip that marks the first time FIT President Dr. Brown has visited FIT alumni in Japan. To showcase some of the trip’s highlights and images, we’ll be blogging about our trip and Japanese alumni here!
