With FIT’s population being 84% female, the dating pool is not that large. Thankfully, FIT’s PRSSA (Public Relations Society of America) put on their 5th annual speed dating event: A Match Made on 7th. At this event PRSSA brings in 50 guys from other NYC schools to speed date with 50 FIT girls. Each pairing has 90 seconds to get to know each other before moving on to the next person. Being one of the first to buy my ticket, I was really excited to meet all of these people. I did not expect to find my prince charming, and unfortunately, I did not, but the event was a true success! Several attendees really hit it off with other guys and planned to go on dates or go out afterwards. I met some fantastic people there that I plan on keeping in touch with, but just as friends. I highly recommend that everyone attend this event next year because you never know who you are going to meet. As Loretta Young once said, “Love isn’t something you find. Love is something that finds you.”
