Healthy Body

Lately school, internships, jobs, homework have all been over whelming me a little bit. Since I currently can’t go shopping because I am a broke college student ( haha) I’m trying to find other ways to make do with the situation. So I’m trying to find positive things in life, quotes, music, anything. I just made a board in my room with inspirtational quotes and images on it. Every day you should get up with a postive mindset.

Always, I mean ALWAYS talk to someone about your feelings or what you are going through. For the past month I have been feeling a little strange, dizzy, weak, flu like symptoms. I figured I was just run down but that wasn’t the case! I actually have low blood pressure which is related to anxiety disorder. Low blood pressure, also called hypotension, is blood pressure that is low enough that the flow of blood to the organs of the body   is inadequate and symptoms and/or signs of low blood flow develop.

The treatment for hypotension depends on its cause. Chronic hypotension rarely exists as more than a symptom. Asymptomatic hypotension in healthy people usually does not require treatment. Adding electrolytes to a diet can relieve symptoms of mild hypotension. A morning dose of caffeine can also be effective. In mild cases, where the patient is still responsive, laying the person in dorsal decubitus (lying on the back) position and lifting the legs increases venous return, thus making more blood available to critical organs in the chest and head.untitled

So this semester if you start feeling weird get checked out just in case, it cant hurt. Be aware of your body and how everything is affecting it.

Stay healthy,

XOXO Kailee
