5 Things I Know For Sure

As 2014 approaches, the media bombards us with words and images that urge us to be smarter, more fit and accomplished versions of who we are.

Amidst all the advise and New Year’s Resolutions, here’s 5 things I know for sure:

1.

Your parents were right. These are the magic words.

2. Feed the piggy

Even if it’s not much, put money aside on a very consistent basis.  You never know when a financial cushion will come in handy.

3. Trust your instincts

Some things just can’t be learned from a book.  More often then not,  you know when something isn’t right and you know when it is.

4. You can count on Rachel Ray

There’s no need to face the same chicken and rice ensemble every night. Spice up your life with mouthwatering Rachel Ray recipes like shrimp and chickpea chili topped with feta cheese, quinoa salad over a bed of spinach, and plum raspberry oatmeal crumble coupled with vanilla bean ice cream.

5. When you look good, you feel good

Put yourself first. The world is a better place when you’re clean, dry, and your hair has been attended to.

  1. This is so true. If you look good, you feel good. Good looks not only open doors but also guarantee a long, healthy life – from the age of 30, the more attractive you are, the better your health, psychologists have found.
