Explore NYC #1 – Battery Park

The wonder of New York City is endless.  Even if you’re a local, I don’t think you’ve seen it all.  I’m starting a new series of posts where I talk about places that I found interesting outside of 27th and 7th.  So for this post, I’m telling you all about Battery Park.  Battery Park is located at the southern tip of Manhattan.  At Battery Park you can walk around, enjoy the “nature” of New York, do some fantastic people watching, and view the Statue of Liberty in the very distance.  I went down there to take pictures for my Intro to Digital Photography assignment, but it was so incredibly beautiful and breathtaking.  It has become my new favorite spot in NYC.  So get out your MetroCard, get on one of the first 5 cars of the 1 Train and get off at South Ferry…it’s sure to be a treat.
